Intriguing history and folklore

Enjoy real adventure

The rugged and scenic landscape of Roaring River State Park paints a colorful setting for much of the intriguing history and folklore associated with the Ozark hills. With its deep, narrow valley, mountain like terrain and deep blue spring, the park’s natural beauty is breathtaking.

Managed by the Missouri Department of Conservation, the hatchery at Roaring River State Park is one of Missouri’s oldest hatcheries, producing and stocking over 250,000 trout each year in the 1.6 miles of stream located in the park. Over 100,000 adults and children come to fish and enjoy the beauty of the daily stocked stream each year.

Some of the most remote and beautiful parts of the park can be accessed by trails that lead to hardwood forests, small Ozark streams, and scenic views atop open dolomite glades.
